Mrs. Jane Durrett et al
         Be it remembered that on this day the cause was heard by the Hon County Court of Robertson County Tennessee upon the report of the commissioners heretofore appointed to partition the lands described in the pleadings in the cause, said report was filed herein on the [blank] day of September 1884 and is in the following words and figures to wit.
         We the undersigned Commissioners having been appointed by the Honorable County Court of Robertson, Tennessee at its July Term 1884. To divide the lands of Mrs. Jane Durrett widow of F.R. Durrett Deceased being the land mentioned in pleadings into two parts equal in value and allot one of these parts to William Shannon and the other to Mrs. Mary J. Cook and the lawful heirs of her body, met on said lands and after being sworn and hearing sworn chain bearers first surveyed all of said lands found the whole number of acres to be 323 acres 42 ¼ poles which is situated in the 10th civil district of Robertson County Tennessee. Next we divided said lands into two parts of equal value naming them lot No. 1 and lot No. 2 as shown in plot.
         We allot lot No.1 to Mary J. Cook and the lawful heirs of her body boundaried as follows to wit;
         Beginning on a hornbean On the South side of beaver dam NE corner of lot No.2 running South 78 poles to a stake corner of lot No.2, thence West 4 poles to a stake corner of lot No.2, thence South 83 poles to a stake in Willie Savages line, thence S 27 ½ E 73 poles with said Savages line to a post oak said Savages corner, thence North 1 ½ E 142 ½ poles with Sarah Owens line to the center of beaver dam, thence N 15 ¾ E 121 6/100 poles with Bill Cook’s and Thomas Stark’s line to a stake said Stark’s corner, thence N 86 ½ W 16 ½ poles with said Stark’s line to a stone, thence N 1 ½ E 122 ½ poles with Thomas Stark’s Sen and Thomas Stark’s Jr line to a stake and pointers in Jones’s line, thence N 88 ½ W 72 poles with said Jones line to a stone D.L. Durrett’s corner, thence S 1 ¼ W 155 3/5 poles with D.L. Durrett’s line to a stone said Durrett’s corner, thence S 1 ¼ E 59 ½ poles with said Durrett’s line to the center of beaver dam said Durrett’s corner, thence West 6 poles with the branch, thence down said branch 11 4/5 poles to the beginning, containing 173 acres & 158 poles. We set apart to Wm Shannon lot No.2 bounded as follows to wit; Beginning on the South side of Beaver dam on a Sycamore D.L. Durrett’s corner, running S 2 ½ W 73 poles with Mary Crockett’s line to a walnut said Crockett’s corner, then West 42 73/100 poles with said Crockett’s line to a stone said Crockett’s corner, thence S 1 1/6 W 120 1/3 poles with said Crockett’s line to a red oak said Crockett’s corner, Thence S 2 W 22 1/5 poles with S. Wilson’s line to a stake W.B. Savages corner, thence S 87 ½ E 128 poles with W.B. Savage’s line to a stake and pointers in said line corner at lot No.1, Thence North 83 poles to a stake corner of lot No.1 E 4 poles to a stake corner of lot No.1, thence North 78 poles to a hornbeam on the South side of beaver dam corner of lot No.1, thence down beaver dam with its various meanders to the beginning, containing 149 acres 44 ¼ poles.

         Said report being unexpected to us by the court in all things confirmed. It is therefore ordered adjudged and decreed by the court that the title to lot No.1 described in said report and containing 173 acres and 158 poles be divested out of the complaintants Wm Shannon and all the other legatees of F.R. Durrett’s will and vested in the defendant Mary J. Cook for life with remainder interest therein to and in the lawfully begotten heirs of her body as a class, their heirs and assigns forever subject to the deft Mrs. Jane Durrett’s life estate in the same or given her under and by the will of her husband F.R. Durrett Dec’d.
         And that lot No.2 described in said report and containing 149 acres and 44 ½ poles be divested out of the legatees under the will of F.R. Durrett Deceased and vested in the complaintants Wm F. Shannon his heirs and assigns forever subject to the life estate of the defendant Mrs. Jane Durrett given her in said land by the will of her husband F.R. Durrett Deceased, a copy being exhibit "A" to the bill in cause.
         The division of the land described in said report decreed and made by the court in this cause is not in the least to interfere with the life estate of the deft Mrs. Jane Durrett given her by her husband F.R. Durrett’s will nor with its free use and enjoyment in said land. The court doth further order that the Compt Wm Shannon pay the cost of this cause including a fee of Five Dollars to W.W. Pepper for services rendered by him as guardian ad Latern for Minor defts in the cause the same being taxed as a part of the costs herein. For all of which let execution issue.

         Robertson County I J.W. Dean of the county court of above State & County do hereby certify that the foregoing is a full true and perfect copy of the Report of Commissioners and decree Confirming same in the cause of Wm. Shannon vs Mrs. Jane Durrett et als as same appears of record in my office.
