Anny Chowning one year provisions
         You and each of you do swear that you will impartially set apart to Mrs. Anny Chowning Widow of Richard Chowning deceased such part of the crop and provisions on hand if so much there be as may be necessary to support her and her family until the expiration of one year from the death of her dec’d husband to the best of your knowledge and belief so help you God.
Sworn and subscribed before me the Oct. 29th 1845.

         We the undersigned freeholders of Robertson County after being duly sworn have proceeded to set apart to Mrs. Anny Chowning, Widow of Richard Chowning deceased, so much of the and provisions on hand as will in our opinion be sufficient her and her family one year from the death of her said husband, We set apart for said purpose the following articles To Wit, The present crop of corn, eighteen pork hogs, one beef, thirty-one bushels wheat, one hundred pounds of sugar, one hundred pounds of coffee, one barrel salt, all the present crop of potatoes and cabbage and twenty dollars in money and all the stock of fowls except the 3 geese.

         30 lbs of coffee at 8 ˝ cents per pound         $2.25 (note, it should be 7 ˝ cents per pound)
         1 Barrel salt at 40 cents per bushel                $2.40
         $4.40 in money                                             $4.40
                                                                             $9.05 now on hand
