A. Brazeale<\/strong> <em>[sic]<br \/>\n<\/em>A Prominent Attorney of Kingston.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The subject of this sketch was born of humble parentage on a farm in Roane county.&nbsp; Educated himself, graduating at Friendsville academy, working his way as janitor.&nbsp; He then taught school, and was afterwards a student of the University of Tennessee.&nbsp; Was next principal of a high school in Alabama, returning later and studying law under <strong>Judge Jno. J. Blair<\/strong>. He at once formed a co-partnership at Kingston with <strong>Col. Sam Epps Young<\/strong> and since that time <strong>Mr. Breazeale<\/strong> has been seen in most all important cases in the Roane County courts, his skill and ability being wonderfull <em>[sic]<\/em>. A staunch republican, always carries his point, a fine organizer, and is now chairman of the county republican committee and is a member of the Second congressional republican committee.<\/p>\n<p>From: <em>Knoxville Journal &amp; Tribune<\/em>, Sunday, 24 Apr 1898<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Obituary from The Knoxville Journal, 25 November 1927, page 4<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SENATOR BREAZEALE<\/strong> SUCCUMBS HERE<br \/>\nSeventh District Representative Dies At Hospital<\/p>\n<p>State Senator <strong>Sam A. Breazeale<\/strong>, 62, of Harriman, died yesterday afternoon at Knoxville General hospital.<\/p>\n<p>He had been in failing health for several months. <strong>Senator Breazeale<\/strong> was a prominent lawyer of Harriman, as well as a representative of the Seventh senatorial district in the General Assembly.&nbsp; He was serving his third term in the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>The remains were removed to Mann mortuary, whence they will be taken to the home at Harriman Friday morning.&nbsp; Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church of Harriman Sunday at 2 p.m.&nbsp; The <strong>Rev. R. M. Bell<\/strong> will officiate.&nbsp; Interment will follow in Willard Park cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving <strong>Senator Breazeale<\/strong> are his widow, <strong>Mrs. Lou Ralston Breazeale<\/strong>; his mother, <strong>Mrs. T. B.&nbsp;Breazeale<\/strong>, of Knoxville; four sisters, <strong>Mrs. R. S. Wilkerson<\/strong>, Martel. Tenn.; <strong>Mrs.&nbsp;C. H. Henderson<\/strong>; Spokane, Wash., <strong>Mrs. T. H.&nbsp;Bush<\/strong>, Knoxville, and <strong>Mrs W. M. Wilkerson<\/strong>, Concord, Tenn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senator Breazeale<\/strong> was educated in the schools of Roane and Loudon counties, and later graduated from the law department, University of Tennessee.&nbsp; During his career in public service, <strong>Senator Breazeale<\/strong> was a supporter of the good roads system in the state, and was a staunch friend of the University of Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click thumbnails to view larger image.
