I tried to copy the list verbatim….even placing the periods where they don’t quite belong. I added just 1 or 2 notes….obvious things.
Cash<\/strong> researcher Louise Bryant Rogers<\/strong> provided my with the infomation.
If anyone needs a point of contact for Monroe Cash<\/strong> or Stephen Ford<\/strong> my email is [removed for this content]. Monroe<\/strong> was Louise<\/strong> and my 2nd great grandfather.
He joined this unit in Knoxville, TN, in Jan. 1862…..went to Welcker<\/strong>‘s TN Cav. Bn in late 1863 and then back to this same unit…the 5th early in 1864 to War’s end.
Stephen Ford<\/strong> was his wife’s relative.
I think the James Edgeman<\/strong> is the same as Pollard Edgemond<\/strong> at [photo at Internet Archive]<\/a> or James<\/strong> is his brother.
A lot of these guys went by their middle name….my Monroe<\/strong> was James Monroe Cash<\/strong> b. 1826 TN, but he went by Monroe<\/strong>. Hope this may provide something good to others.<\/p>\r\n

These men surrendered at war\u2019s end in Charlotte, NC, as a part of the 5th Tennessee Cavalry (McKenzie<\/strong>\u2019s), Co. B (Blythe<\/strong>\u2019s), and accordingly some of the members who had fought w\/ the unit previous to May 3rd, 1865, are not listed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
