January 30, 1845 issue missing but in this issue the editor remarked that in Mrs. MARY BOYD's death notice of the previous week, she had been called the widow of Harrison Boyd when it should have read ARMSTEAD Boyd and her correct age given as in her 70th year; member of the Baptist Church.

A black man, slave, belonging to DAVID ELLIOTT, Athens, Ala., was accidentally killed when he fell from his horse and was run over by wagon wheels, circa Feb. 8, 1845.
ELIZABETH ANN wife of D. [Donald] CAMERON; daughter of Captain George Mayfield; died Feb. 18, 1845 in 27th year of her age. Presbyterian; surviving were her widower and one child.

[Her box vault tombstone in the old Franklin, Tenn. cemetery reads: In Memory of Mrs. ANN E. consort of Dr. R. R. HIGHTOWER, daughter of Robert C. and Louisa Foster Born Sept. 24th 1826. Died Feb. 23, 1845]

BETSEY wife of Nicholas SCALES, esq., Talladega, Ala., died Feb. 29, 1845. Born Pittsylvania Co., VA., Aug. 12, 1776; moved to Knox Co., Tenn., then Williamson Co., then in 1835 to Talladega Co., Ala. Baptist; surviving were her widower, four sons, three daughters.

JOHN B. MURPHY, near Plum Grove, Ark., formerly merchant in Memphis and New Orleans, fell from a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, opposite the Exchange Hotel in Memphis and died "instantly" on April 19, 1845.

Mrs. SALLY WINNIFRED daughter of James Pugh, Williamson Co., Tenn., died Sumpter Co., Ala. April 2, 1845 aged 37 years and 4 months.
Hon. D. W. DICKINSON died in residence of Major William Maney near Franklin, Tenn., April 27, 1845; served in Tennessee legislature and U.S. Congress.

DICKINSON, David W. (nephew of William Hardy Murfree), a Representative from Tennessee; born in Franklin, Tenn., June 10, 1808; completed preparatory studies and was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; studied law; was admitted to the bar and practiced; elected as a Democrat to the Twenty-third Congress (March 4, 1833-March 3, 1835); elected as a Whig to the Twenty-eighth Congress (March 4, 1843-March 3, 1845); was unable to attend the last session of Congress on account of his failing health; died at "Grantland," his father's home, near Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tenn., on April 27, 1845; interment in the family burying ground on the estate.

"ANDREW JACKSON breathed his last at the Hermitage on Sunday the 8th [of June] at 6 o'clock in the afternoon. He is represented to have retained his faculties to the end and to have died 'quietly, calmly with entire resignation' amidst the beloved members of his family and a few intimate friends who were present. . . . Yesterday . . . the body was borne to the grave [and] was placed by the side of her, whom in life he had loved so well."

IT appearing by affidavit that Matthew Lindsay and Virginia, his wife, Thomas Walthall and Ann E., his wife, Constantine Perkins, James O. Perkins, Daniel Perkins and Charles Perkins, defendants in the above stated cause, are not citizens of or residents in the State of Tennessee, so that the ordinary process of this court cannot be served upon them. It is ordered that publication be made for three successive weeks in the Western Weekly Review, a newspaper published in Franklin, requiring said defendants to appear at the next term of this court, to be held at the court house in the town of Franklin on the third Monday in October next, then and there to plead, answer or demur to complainant's bill, or the same will be taken for confessed and set for hearing ex parte as to them. Pr. WM. S. CAMPBELL.The bill in substance states that complainant Faulkner, recovered a judgment on the 3d of October, 1844, in the Circuit Court of Davidson county, against the defendant Joseph W. Perkins, for $435.35 besides costs of suit, and that the complainant Hadley recovered a judgment on the 18th of February 1845 in the Circuit Court of Lauderdale county, against defendants Joseph W. and John P. Perkins, for $118 besides costs; on both of which judgments executions have been issued and returned "no property found." That Col. Nicholas T. Perkins, late of the county of Williamson and State of Tennessee, departed this life intestate in the year 1843, leaving among others the said Jos. W. and Jno. P. Perkins, Virginia Lindsay, Ana E. Walthall, Constantine Perkins, James C. Perkins, Daniel Perkins and Charles Perkins, as heirs and next of kin him surviving, being at the time of his death the owner in fee of about 900 acres of land in said county of Williamson and several lots in the town of Franklin, besides personal property, which descended to said heirs and next of kin, and is now held by them as tenants in common, N. T. Perkins having been duly appointed administrator.
The Bill prays an account of the administration of said estate and of the advancements made to the children and grand children, and that the interest of said Joseph W. and John P. Perkins, be ascertained, set apart, and sold, and the proceeds applied to the payment of complainant's said debts, with interest and costs, and for general relief, &c.Franklin, June 29, 1845. -- Pr's fee $12.
