SAMUEL GLENN died Lyon Co., Ky., Jan. 21, 1854 in his 79th year; native of Ga. and moved to Ky. 47 years ago; clerk of the elections 43 years in succession; left 10 children, 55 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and from among the total number of progeny, 21 had died, making a total of 105 descendants; his wife died a week after his demise.

Rev. WILLIAM GARRETT born Orange Co., N.C., Dec. 10, 1774; died Coosa Co., Ala., Nov. 20, 1853; moved when young to Ky.; moved in 1794 to east Tenn. and studied law under supervision of Col. Joseph Hamilton of Jefferson Co.; he practiced law, was attorney general for the eastern division of Tenn.; md Elizabeth d/o Col. Thomas Gray, Oct. 31, 1799; entered MEC ministry, 1822; his wife died in July 1850 and he went to live in the residence of his son, William, in June 1851 where he died later.
JOHN ALBERT SHALL s/o Jacob and Anne Shall, born Pulaski, Jan. 15, 1830; died March 5, 1854; attended Emory-Henry College in Va.; in 1851 he went to Texas and was connected with the Texas rangers for about a year, but his health failed and he returned home where he died of consumption.
MARTHA FANNIE MAUDLEBAUM w/o Henry Maudlebaum; d/o Wilson and Martha Shores; born Fluvanna Co., Va., Nov. 10, 1827; md Oct. 2, 1849; moved to DeKalb Co., Tenn., 1852; died Gainesboro, Jackson Co., Tenn., March 10, 1854; mother of 2 children, a son and daughter; the latter died when about 9 months old; the son was 3 months old the day his mother died.
