TUCKER CEMETERY
Tucker Cemetery, October 2001
Tucker Cemetery is truly a family cemetery. It is located on the Tucker Farm on Short Creek in the side yard between two outbuildings. In 1992 the farm belonged to Billy Tucker. This land is part of the original Land Grant given to his ancestor for service in the Revolutionary War. Three fieldstones mark unidentified burials. An open area in the center of the cemetery may contain 6-10 unmarked graves.
David Donahue recorded Tucker Cemetery October 28, 2001 and checked it September 26, 2004. Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded the cemetery in the early 1990s. Their record appears in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records (Vol. I). This earlier record is referred to as Bowen in the notes below.
