CHESTNUT GROVE CEMETERY
This cemetery is located at Chestnut Grove Church of Christ on the north side of Highway 412 about two miles east of Linden. Part of the cemetery lies behind the church, part is in front near the highway. The cemetery is maintained well. The total number of unmarked graves is somewhat difficult to estimate but probably numbers several dozen.
David Donahue recorded Chestnut Grove Cemetery November 27, 1999 and checked and updated it in August 22, 2004. Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded the cemetery in the early 1990s. Their record appears in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records (Vol. I). This earlier record is referred to as Bowen in the notes below.
