BRITT'S CHAPEL CEMETERY
Britt's Chapel Cemetery, February 2001
Britt's Chapel Cemetery is located in the Roan Creek Valley of Perry County, Tennessee. Based on death dates of graves with markers, the cemetery was popular between 1880 and 1910, and little used since 1920. Burials extend north and west of the area currently kept clear. Maintenance is minimal. A large number of graves, perhaps one-third or more, are unmarked. This record was made February 17, 2001.
Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded the cemetery in the early 1990s. Their record appears in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records (Vol. I). This earlier record is referred to as Bowen in the notes below.
