BARBER & QUALLS FAMILY CEMETERY
(Qualls Cemetery
Shown as Qualls Cemetery on the U.S.G.S. Graves Springs quadrangle, the Barber & Qualls Family Cemetery is a well maintained cemetery on the north side of highway 412 approximately 4 miles east of highway 100. Old markers have been carefully washed and repaired. What is difficult to determine is the cemetery's age. Existing markers lie either on the north or south sides of the cemetery. A large area in the center is open but shows evidence of old burials. This area is probably full and the old fieldstones were removed to make grass mowing and other maintenance easier.
David Donahue recorded Barber & Qualls Cemetery October 4, 2001 and checked and updated it September 24, 2004. Mary (Stewart) Bowen and Melissa (Snyder) Bowen recorded the cemetery in the early 1990s. Their record appears in Mary Bowen's Perry County, Tennessee Cemetery Records (Vol. I). This earlier record is referred to as Bowen in the notes below.
