ROGERS CEMETERY
Maudie Viola Garner Marker at Rogers Cemetery
Rogers Cemetery is located on Bear Creek Road 1½ miles west of Pinson. According to its sign, the cemetery was established circa 1879; perhaps this is the date of a land gift. According to the markers the cemetery was created in the 1830s. The cemetery is maintained well.
David Donahue recorded this cemetery in April 2004. The cemetery had been recorded earlier in 1989. The person or people who recorded the cemetery in the fall of 1987 are not identified but it may have been Robert and Wilma Nolen. The 1987 record appears in Cemetery Records of Madison County, Tennessee, Volume I - The Southern Half of County (Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society, 1995, pp. 100-103). This is referred to as the 1987 record in notes below.
