EAST LAUREL CEMETERY
East Laurel Cemetery is located on East Laurel Road in the Hart's Bridge Community about nine miles southeast of Jackson. It dates to the 1880s and is well maintained. Unmarked and unidentified graves number over a dozen.
David Donahue recorded East Laurel Cemetery August 24, 2004. The cemetery was recorded earlier about 1988. The person or people who recorded the cemetery in 1988 are not identified but it might have been Robert and Wilma Nolen who recorded other cemeteries in southern Madison County during this time period. The 1988 record appears in Cemetery Records of Madison County, Tennessee, Volume I — The Southern Half of County (Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society, 1995, pp. 39-42). This is referred to as 1988 record in notes below.
