DAVIDSON YARD CEMETERY
Davidson Yard is a small cemetery on Barnes Road in northern Madison County, Tennessee. It is well maintained.
David Donahue made this 2004 update of Davidson Yard Cemetery on August 22, 2004, based the 1995 record of the cemetery by Barbara Warren. Barbara Warren recorded Davidson Yard Cemetery circa 1995. A copy of her record is available in the vertical files, Tennessee Room, Jackson-Madison County Public Library. This source is noted as Barbara Warren in notes below. She seems to have included a couple of people who do not have markers. Another 1995 record of the cemetery appears in Cemetery Records of Madison County, Tennessee, Volume II, North Half of the County (1998), pp. 101-103. This record is not based on Barbara Warren's work and the recorder is not listed. This in referred to as the "other 1995 record" in notes below.

Comment: In 2004 the homemade Barnes and Davidson markers were almost impossible to read. Both Barbara Warren and the other person who recorded the cemetery in 1995 had trouble reading these markers. In 2004, the markers were in worse shape. I could read all but one of them but only because I knew from Barbara Warren's 1995 record about what they should say. Without that I could not have read them. In 2004 the dates are still readable, so for the moment the marker for each individual can still be identified based on the dates. Descendants might want to consider replacing these markers while they can still be identified. David Donahue, August 2004.
