BAKER'S CHAPEL CEMETERY
Baker's Chapel Cemetery is located 1.5 miles south of intersection of Baker's Chapel Road and U.S. 45E. It was formerly the cemetery for Baker's Chapel Methodist Church (defunct). Decoration at the cemetery is on Mother's Day.
David Donahue recorded this cemetery in November 2003 based on the record of the cemetery which appears in Cemetery Records of Madison County, Tennessee, Volume II, North Half of the County (1998). The recorder was not attributed. Two earlier records of the cemetery exist. Susan E. King recorded this cemetery on June 9, 1994. Her record is available in the vertical files in the Tennessee Room, Jackson-Madison County Public Library. Her record also included a simple map showing her route through the cemetery showing the order of the graves she recorded. She noted nine graves without markers. Click here for to see her record reformatted to HTML and her hand-drawn map. Susan E. King states that her record was made as an update to William B. Elam's 1972 record of the cemetery which appeared in Family Findings, Vol. VI, No. 3, July 1974, pp. 95-96. Click here to see William B. Elam's record reformatted to HTML.
