OBITUARY
By the will of God, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, this our beloved brother has paid a debt that you and I must pay someday. On Monday, March 11, 1991 around 9:45 P.M., the death angles came to Jackson General Hospital and bore the spirit of Mr. Leon Doyle to a land that is free from sickness pain, sorrow, and death. He was born in Henderson County Feb. 10, 1920, the son of the late Vird & Plural Doyle. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the St. Paul Baptist Church Later he joined the Timberlake Grove Baptist Church and remained a member until his death. Leon was united in holy matrimony to the late Ruth Parker Doyle in 1943, who preceded him in death in July 1990. He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers Paul Doyle of Columbia, Tennessee and Jacova Doyle of New York, New York. One sister, Vivian Smith of Los Angeles, Ca., and one uncle, William Johnson (Neta Mae), two aunts by Gods choice, Treva White and Georgia Cathey, three sister-in-laws, June Hillyard, and Mary E. Parker all of Lexington, and Mildred Parker of Jackson, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

OBITUARY
On September 15, 1985 in East St. Louis, IL., the death angel stopped by St. Mary’s Hospital and bore the spirit of Estelle Pettigrew Kizer to a land that is fairer than day, where there is an eternal home of love, peace and tranquility.
She was born in Henderson County, daughter of the late Levi and Narcesus "Sis" Pritchett Hart, December 25, 1897.
Estelle was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Timberlake Grove Baptist Church. After relocating in East St. Louis, she became a member of the Ira Grove Freewill Baptist Church, where she remained faithful until her death. Her pastor stated that many times she was there before he arrrived for Sunday School, and although her failing steps caused her to rely upon a walking cane, she was so eager to get to church, she would walk rather than wait on the van.
Her spouse, Jake Kizer and sons, Edward Timberlake and James Pettigrew all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Lena Sykes of East St. Louis, IL., and Peggy Tealer of Corpus Christi, TX.; one son, Ernest Earl Pettigrew of Des Moines, IA.; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and nine .great-great-grandchildren; four nieces; cousins; and many friends.

Mr. Herman McKinney, the son of the late Bryant and Raymal McKinney was born June 16, 1924, in Lexington and Henderson County Tennessee.
He attended the public school system of Henderson County Mr. McKinney worked several years at the Lexington Metal Product Co. which is Johnson Controls now. He was also a farmer.
He departed this life on Sunday March 3, 1996 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, TN at 5 p.m.. after a short illness.
Mr. Herman McKinney accepted Christ in his life at an early age, and joined the Hope Well Baptist Church, later he moved to the Pleasant Hill Community and united with the Pleasant Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his death. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Mae Bomar McKinney. To this union one child was born. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Valene Foreman of Lexington, TN one son, James (Dorothy) McKinney of Wildersville, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Jessie Mae Bomar of Lexington, TN, one brother-in law, one sister-in law, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

MRS. LILAR PARKER NEELY
Mrs. Lilar Parker Neely was born March 12, 1896 in Henderson County, daughter of the late Ervin Parker and Rebecca Cozart Parker.
Our Heavenly Father went into the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at 5:30 P.M. Monday, January 8, 1973 and called unto his Heavenly Home our loved one who had been a patient there about three weeks. She had been ill for several weeks before going to Jackson but bore her illness with patience, never complaining.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Timberlake Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She attended church regularly until her health began to fail. She was a faithful and devoted member who supported the church spiritually and financially.
She married Mr. Wade Neely who preceded her in death. To this union six children were horn. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving are two sons, Mr. Ray Phelps of Yuma, and Mr. Millard Neely of Huntingdon; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Wilson of Henderson, Mrs. Lillie Mae Trice of Jacks Creek, Mrs. Dimple Foulks of Bruceton, and Mrs. Augustine Wright of Milan; two brothers, Mr. George Parker and Mr. Hobert Parker both of Huntingdon; two sisters, Mrs. Ervie Timberlake of Wildersville, Mrs. Grace Parker of Huntingdon; twenty one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Cornelious Parker was born in Henderson County, November 30, 1931, son of the late Ora Parker and Mrs. Bertha Pearson Bumpus. He departed this life July 30, 1979.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Timberlake Grove Baptist Church.
He united in holy wedlock to Mrs. Mary Jo Witherspoon Parker. To this union, seven children were born.

Mr. George Parker was born in Henderson County on February 22, 1914 to the late Mr. Genie and Mrs. Addie Lee Parker. He was a patient at the Methodist Hospital of’ Lexington at the time of’ his death, Friday morning, July 3, 1987;at 1:55 A.M.
Mr. Parker was a retired farmer and attended the Henderson County schools. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Louise Kizer Parker in the year of 1932. To this union, ten children were born, seven preceding him in death. He was a member of the Timberlake Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a faithful and devoted wife, Mrs. Louise Parker; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Taylor, Lexington and Mrs. Betty Lou Donald of Humboldt; two step-daughters, Mrs. Eva Pettigrew of’ Fulton, Ky. and Mrs. Annie Lee Neely off Clarksburg; one son, Mr. Tom Parker of Lexington; one step-son, Mr. James Pearson of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Lessie Freeman of’ Long Beach, California and Mrs. Pansy Watson of’ Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Jeff Freeman of Long Beach and Carl Watson of Kansas City; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Stella Parker of Lexington; one aunt, Mrs. Ervie Timberlake of Lexington; 35 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Brother George Parker has departed from this world of trouble and pain. He now rests in the hands of a just God. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot dissolve.

Mr. James Paul Parker was born October 11, 1926, to Mrs. Grace Parker and the late Mr. Autry Parker, and departed this life Wednesday evening, July 19, 1972.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Timberlake Grove Baptist Church.
He united in holy wedlock to Mrs. Mary E. Henry Parker. To this union seven children were born.
His immediate survivors include a wife, Mrs. Mary E. OBITUARY
Mrs. Lillian Watson Parker was born in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late Lafayette Watson and Mary Pyle Watson. She departed this earthly life December 4, 1993 at the Mission Convalescent Home in Jackson, Tennessee.
Mrs. Parker received her education from the Henderson County School System. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Jessie Parker, who preceded her in death.
At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined the St. Paul Baptist Church in Lexington, Tennessee. After moving to Jackson, Tennessee, she united with the Macedonia Baptist Church in 1923, where she remained a very active member until her health failed. She served under the pastorates of Rev. W. W. Taylor, Rev. Cleavant Denick, Rev. R. J. Page and Rev. Harold B. Brock.
She served as church clerk for forty-two years. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Chairman of the Lydia Circle and a member of the Pastor’s Aide. She established Women’s Day at Macedonia Baptist Church sixty-three years ago, which spread to churches throughout the area. Prior to the integration of hotels and motels, most visiting ministers stayed in her home. She was also president of The Royal Ladies Civic club.
Mrs. Parker truly loved her church and her church family. It was her request to stay at Mission Convalescent so she could be near her church.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two nieces, Mrs. Velma Meadows of Salina, Kansas and Mrs. Laveria (Lymon) Priddy of Lexington, Tennessee; a great-great niece, Mrs. Donna Gardner of Salina, Kansas; a number of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

OBITUARY
On Sunday morning March 6, 1983, the death angel came to Haywood Park Hospital, Brownsville, Tenn. and bore the bright spirit of Mrs. Hattie Stanford away to a place that is free from sickness, sorrow, pain and death. She had suffered extremely, but bore her pains patiently.
Mrs. Stanford was born March 5, 1896 in Henderson County to the late Alvin and Mrs. Mary Wilson Gooch.
Years ago she accepted Jesus as her personal savior and joined the Hopewell Baptist Church, Yuma, Tenn. After moving to Lexington, she joined the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and was a dedicated and faithful member, until her health failed.
She was married in early life to the late George Thomas, to this union nine children were born, three who preceded her in death. She was married to Mr. John Staten who preceded her in death and later to Mr. Bill Stanford.
Her survivors includes: six sons, Mr. William I. Thomas, Mr. Gladen Thomas, Mr. Willie R. Thomas, Mr. George L. Thomas, all of Lexington, Mr. Alvin G. Thomas and Mr. Arva L. Thomas, Detroit, Mich.; one brother, Mr. John A. Gooch, Paducah, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Elnora Belew, Indianapolis, In.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

OBITUARY
Edward Timberlake, the son of Eddie Edwards and Estelle Kizer, and foster son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elf Timberlake, was born March 10, 1921, in Henderson County, where he spent a great part of his life, before moving to Chicago, Illinois.
He attended public school of Henderson County. He served his Country honorably, in the United States Navy, during World War II. He was a former member of Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served on the Steward Board, and was a loyal member.
November 2, 1944, he was married to Narline Kennedy. Their union was blessed with four children, Barbara, Connie, Samuel and Alma.
He leaves to mourn his demise, his former wife, Mrs. Narline Kennedy Timberlake, three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Harden, Lexington; Mrs. Herman Jones, Brooklyn, New York, and Mrs. Arthur Pritchard, Cedar Grove, one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Carver, Washington, D. MRS. WILLIE WILLIAMS
Mrs. Willie Williams, daughter of the late Mrs. Emma Boswell Kizer and Mr. Elisha Kizer, was born in Henderson County, June 1, 1897, making her stay on earth eighty years.
She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, a good neighbor, and a devoted wife.
She was married to Mr. Floyd Williams and no children were born.
She departed this life about 3:30 a.m. October 20, 1977 at the Lexington-Henderson County Hospital.
She leaves to mourn her passing a husband, Mr. Floyd Williams; a brother, Mr. Dan Kizer of Lexington, Tenn., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

OBITUARY
In the quietness of the evening October 4, 1977 at twelve fifty-five P.M. the death angel entered Mr. Wilson’s home in Henderson, Tennessee and gently bore away Mr. Floyd Wilson.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the J. P. Baptist Church where he served as president of the Senior Choir. He also served as a Deacon of the Church, Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday school, as long as his health allowed him.
He was born May 4, 1911 in Hardin County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Wilson.
He leaves to mourn his passing, a loving wife, Mrs. Alice Wilson; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Durham of San Diego, Calif.; three granddaughters; two sisters , Mrs. Bertia Phelps, Henderson, Mrs. Lois Wallace, Union City; seven nephews, one son-in-law, two nieces, three sisters-in-1aw, two brothers-in-law, one aunt, Mrs. Minthia Harris, Henderson, Tenn. and a number of other relatives.
