On October 1, 1858 DAVID BIRD had executed his will which was probated in Henderson County, Feb. 1859, and JAMES W. BIRD qualified as co-executor, with REBECCA BIRD, widow; before the estate was finally settled JAMES W. BIRD died and JOHN L. READ and THOMAS P. BIRD were appointed administrators debonis and by the seventh clause of this will, they sold for $2200 some 736 1/2 acres, except for the dower of REBECCA BIRD which was to come out of this tract.
