ROCK HILL CEMETERY
This is a well-maintained community cemetery located on Road Hill Road east of Lexington. It seems to date from the 1890s and may have originated as a McPeake family cemetery. There are very few graves without markers. This cemetery was recorded March 23, 1996 and checked and updated October 7, 2003.
Anita Webb and Betsy Patterson recorded this cemetery circa 1974. Their record appears in R. H. Harris, ed., Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (Memphis, 1976), Vol. I, pp. 231-237. They estimate "at lest 6 unmarked graves." This earlier work is referred to as "Webb and Patterson" in the notes below.
