OAK GROVE CEMETERY
(Lexington-Alberton)Oak Grove Cemetery, April 1998
This large cemetery is located about three miles east of Lexington and about two miles north of U.S. 421 at the intersection of Davis Road and Alberton Road. David Donahue recorded the cemetery April 16 and 17, 1998 and checked and updated it October 28-30, 2003.
Alicia Adcocks and Joan Nowell recorded this cemetery in 1976. Their record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976), pp. 265-275. As most of their record is in what to me is a useless last name, first name, birth year-death year format with no other information, I have never bothered to compare it. They estimated "at least 70 unmarked graves."
