MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY
Maple Springs cemetery is well maintained church cemetery lying on either side of Beech Bluff Road in western Henderson County. The road appears on Madison County maps as Maple Springs Road.
David Donahue recorded Maple Springs Cemetery December 27, 1998, and checked and updated in March 23, 2004. Two earlier records of this cemetery exist. Frances Evans recorded this cemetery for the Works Progress Administration on May 2, 1938. Her record appears in Tennessee Records of Henderson County, Bible Records and Tombstone Inscriptions (Nashville, Historical Records Survey, July 27, 1939). Her work is referred to as "Evans" in the notes below. She noted "95 unmarked graves." However, some of these graves had been marked by 1998. Shelia Buck and Kim Thompson made the second record circa 1976. Their record appears in Henderson County, Tennessee Cemetery Inscriptions (R. H. Harris, Memphis, 1976). This work is referred to as "Buck and Thompson" in the notes below.
