OBITUARY
Velora Scott Fisher was born in Decatur County, Decaturville, Tennessee on November 17, 1900. She entered into rest February 14,1990 at the Decatur County General Hospital, Parsons, Tennessee.
She was the daughter of Wm. and Mary Scott. She received her education in Decatur and and Bedford Counties. She was saved at an early age, and was one of the pioneer members helping to establish The temple Church of God in Christ, Parsons, Tennessee, where she was a faithful member when she passed from this life.
On August 1,1920 she was united in marriage to the late Elder Mitchell Fisher. She lived most of her adult life in Cairo, Illinois, working faithfully with her husband’s ministry until his demise. Later she moved back to Decaturville, Tennessee reuniting with the Temple COGIC.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Ruth Hare of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Margaret Stanton of Decaturville, Tennessee; one brother, Dover Scott of Decaturville, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, several foster grand and great grandchildren and a spiritual Family that loved her very much.
