SHILOH CEMETERY
Shiloh Cemetery is located near the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in the southeastern corner of Carroll county. The well maintained cemetery is said to date to 1833 but does not appear that old at first glance because there are few remaining fieldstones or original markers with nineteenth century death dates. A number of disturbed ground areas possibly representing unmarked burials can be discerned in the eastern half of the cemetery. David Donahue recorded Shiloh Cemetery January 13, 2002 and checked it January 26, 2002.
There are at least two previous records for this cemetery. As of February 2002, a mid-1990s record of the cemetery made by Larry R. Pritchard was available on the web at http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncarrol/cemetery/shilcem.htm. The earlier record was compared to this 2002 survey and is referred to as Pritchard in the notes below.
