NEW HOPEWELL CEMETERY
New Hopewell Cemetery is located behind Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church on the east side of Yuma Road about a mile south of Yuma proper and about four miles southeast of Clarksburg, Tennessee. The present brick building was erected in 1976.
David Donahue recorded New Hopewell Cemetery July 2, 2004. Jonathan Smith recorded New Hopewell Cemetery circa 1999 and it appears as pages 70-71 of his work Tombstone Inscriptions from Black Cemeteries in Carroll County, Tennessee. This is referred to as Smith in notes below.
