From S. David Smith: When my mother died a few years ago I was given this photo that has her in it when she was in Elementry School. My mother only lived in Polk County Tn until after she was married, so this photo is of an Elementry School in Polk County Tn about 1950. My mom, Lena Bates, was born in 1942. So I guess that this photo is from about 1948 to 1952. The teacher was Miss Blanche.
