Not sure where they came from, they were born in Tennessee.
\nMoved to Henry County, Missouri sometime around 1880 – they are on the 1880 Missouri census.
\nJames Madison COLSON 1818-1872
\nMary Arms COLSON 1812-1892
\nBoth are buried in Henry Grove Cemetery, White Oak Township, Henry County, Missouri.
\nA son, Roy Alexander COLSON, married Susanna Bixler in Henry Co. in 1890. Later they moved to Logan County, Illinois. Some of the COLSON descendants remain in the Henry County, Missouri area; Roy’s descendants are still in Logan County and other areas in Illinois.
\nAnother son, Robert COLSON, was killed in the Battle of Murfreesboro (Stone’s Creek) in December, 1862 (No. 307 – Confederate Roll of Honor, TN 8th Regiment, Infantry Company B).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
