TN. Inf. 1861 &#8211; 1865. He was paroled at Appomattox Courthouse April 9, 1865. Waid Hampton&#8217;s brother-in-law Mitchell Copeland was KIA at Chickamauga 19th Sep. 1863. He also fought in Co. D of the 25th. TN. Inf. Waid Hampton&#8217;s futher father-in-law Luther B. Myers, and my GG Grandfather, was the first Capt. of Myers Company later re-named Company D. of the 25th.
