Richard and Polly (Van Hooser) Winningham
The earliest Winningham family in Overton County appears to have been Richard and his wife, Mary Ann “Polly” Van Hooser. Polly’s parents, Isaac W. and Polly (Poor) Van Hooser migrated to Overton County and died there.
Twelve children are identified in their family group, and all are detailed in the extremely well-documented research of the late Georgina Stewart. Her StewartKin.com site is dormant, but the family tree is accessible via the Internet Archive.
