William Jason RAMSEY / CSA Pension #W8922 / Enlisted at Livingston, Overton County, Tennessee August 5, 1861, Company H 25th Tennessee Infantry CSA Muster roll Aug. 5 to Oct. 31, 1861, dated Dec. 27, 1861, shows him furloughed home sick on Nov. 5, 1861. Not yet returned. A Private. Muster Roll dated April 7, 1864 shows him. Discharged January 30, 1862, A Private Born April 12, 1838 in Overton County, Tennessee, the son of Benjamin and Elender "Nelly" DISHMAN RAMSEY, and died July 21, 1903. He died in an accidental drowning in the Clafkiller River and is buried in the Corinth Church Cemetery, White County, Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Collins FRENCH April 26, 1857 in Overton County, Tennessee. -- information contributor Tami Ramsey
