Seeking info on a Thomas DAVIS, brother of “Billy”Davis–of Surrey Co., NC. This Thomas emigrated to Overton Co. TN in the early 1800’s–had children Thomas, Golden, Lillie Ann (m. Thomas HILL–son Tommy Hill), Polly, Elizabeth (m. James GLASSCOCK), Evan, Nancy (m. James MASTERS), and Sallie Family tradition has Thomas settling in Overton Co.,–Billy died in Danbury, Stokes Co., NC in 1822–his wife Phebe Isbell DAVIS and children, William Riley, Hardin, and Sally moved eventually through Knox Co., TN; KY; and eventually to Miller, Lawrence Co., MO. My ancestor Jannette DOWDY was born around 1866 in Tennessee and I keep coming back to Pickett County as a possibility. I know she had brothers Monroe and John (called Jack) who married Sophronia Isabell Harris. I also know there was an Uncle named John that her brother was named for. William C REYNOLDS Died in Pickett Co. He is buried in a graveyard off of Moodyville Rd. He was born 8-23-1879 and died 12-25-1953. He was married to Relda ATKINS Born 12-6-1893 she died on 6-26-1984. They are my grand parents, but I can’t find anything else such as where they lived befor they lived in Moodyville. My Dad was John R Reynolds. He died in Byrdstown on 7-25-1968. Any imformation would be most appreciated.

I am researching the parents of Isaac Brownlow CRABTREE born 20 February, 1887. I think they were William Brownlow CRABTREE and Thursann MOODY. I have not been able to find a marriage date or census record for them. Family history says that he was killed on a hog selling trip to Kentucky. I think she remarried a HATFIELD. Rebecca HUGHES JOHNSON is said to have been the sister of “Colonel HUGHES.” Their children (all born Fentress Co.,TN) are John Alvin JOHNSON, b. 1850, Julia Ann JOHNSON, b 1852, Gilford Dudley JOHNSON b. 1854, Melvin M.L. JOHNSON, b. 1857, and Andrew Wellington JOHNSON, b. July 1860.
