Isaac Lafayete "Fayette" McCormick
Isaac Lafayette "Fayette" McCORMICK was born to Tench and Catherine WEST McCORMICK on February 21, 1833. Lafayette served in the 25th Tennessee Infantry Regiment C.S.A. during the Civil War. Lafayette went into the army during 1861 and served in Company H under Captain Richardson COPELAND. Lafayette listed Mill Springs or Fishing Creek as his first battle. He stated that he fought at Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Perryville and others. He remained with the 25th until the unit surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Virginia in April 1865. -- contributor Edward H. Vaughn
