From Knox Co., Tenn. — ca. 1851 (George HOLMES, father) to Overton County, then to Morgan Co., Ill. — ca.1853 (George Thomas HOLMES, son).   Before going to Illinois, George Thomas HOLMES married Minerva TAYLOR — daughter of Simeon TAYLOR.
