Bruce York has spent decades researching and documenting Fentress County families.  He maintains a massive database that is freely accessible on Rootsweb as a community service to Fentress, Overton and Pickett
Counties.

The database does display names and data on living individuals but will be a great resource for those searching for Fentress County roots.  It includes information from every Fentress County census (1830 to 1930), the 1987 History of Fentress County, two cemetery books, marriage book, other published genealogies, and much information contributed by other Fentress County researchers. The information is downloadable.
