- *(4) “Co. C” Wesley Graham Pvt., Mark Odegard’s great-great-great grandfather, fell at Mill Springs (Fishing Creek): Wesley is buried in Zollicoffer Confederate Cemetery. Mark is helping in the reconstruction of the roster of the 25th.
- *(11) “Co. C” Robert Davis – Pvt., great, great, grandfather of Diane Lalomia, appears on Company Muster Roll for July 26 to Oct. 31, 1861.; Enlisted Nov. 11 at Camp McGinis – by J.P. Rasco. Discharged under the conscript at Tupelo, Miss.
- *(12) “Co. B” Francis Morley Smith of Overton County, Tim Bender’s gg-grandfather, served as a Corporal in Co. B. He was discharged Oct. 8, 1864 after being captured by Federals and immediately paroled.
- *(17) “Co. B” Jacob J. Shelton, Gregg Lewis’ confederate ancestor, enlisted in 1861 in Capt. Joe Bilbrey’s Co. B 25th Tennessee Infantry and rose to the rank of Sergeant. He was cited for bravery at Chickamaugua and was wounded near Tupelo, Mississippi. He lived in the Booze Community until his death in 1934.
- *(22) “Co. C” Benjamin Gibbs – In the Mt. Pleasant cemetary near Ttremont, MS. is a marker containing the following: Benjamin Gibbs, Co C, 25 TN. Inf. CSA. He is buried there along with his wife and daughter. Tremont, MS. is east of Tupelo, MS. on Highway 78 near the Alabama state line.

- *(41) “Co. B” Abner Young Wright My great-grandfather was mustered in on 7 Sept. 1861 and sent to Camp Zollicoffer on 3 Oct. 1861, Private. Mustered in by A. B. Hardcastle for a period of 12 months. He was born ca. 1844, so about the age of 16 at time of enlistment by Jas. W. McHenry. He appears as a Pvt. on 28 Apr. 1862 in Capt. John A. Matheny’s Co., 28 Reg’t. Tennessee Volunteers. Appears present form 28 Feb. to 31 Aug. 1862. Promoted from Pvt. to Cpl. when the 28th consolidated with Co. K, 28 Consolidated Tennessee Infantry, listed as A. Y. Wright. Present July and Aug. 1863 in Co. K. Present in same Co. March & Apr. 1864. On the list dated Jan. & Feb. 1864 there is a note that he was “absent at the hospital since Feb. 1864.”

- J.H. Snodgrass is listed as the captain of Company A; there is a regimental surgeon listed with the same name.
