- Losson Wiggains, Rick J. Gunter gg-grandfather, enlisted 25-July-1861 Tullahoma, TN., and his brother Tilman Wiggains served with the Company E, 25th Reg’t TN. Inf.
- *(16) “Co. H” Lansden Robbins, Sharon Ann (Robbins) Plymale great-great-grandfather, He was 18 years old at the start of the war and enlisted in James R. Copelands Company at Livingston Overton County on August 5, 1861. This unit subsequently became Company H. They spelled his name Lansden Robins with one “b”. His pension application indicates he transfered to the 8th (Dibrell’s) TN. Cav. after Chickamauga. Parolled at Washington GA. with the 8th. TN. CAv. in 1865.
- *(18) “Co. H” William Blackstone Allred, Fred L. Alread’s great grandfather, was born in 1826 and died in 1901. He is buried in the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery. He was with the 25th from Mill Springs to Appomattox. His brother was Lt. Frederick Copeland Allred and his cousin was Lt. Charles Allred. My information tells me that Charles Allred died during the War.
- *(25) “Co. H” Asa Lynn is named in his brothers Civil War Pension application as serving with him in the 25th. Tn. Inf. Co. H
- *(26) “Co. H” Johnson, Samuel Lee – In the 25th Tenn. Vol. Inf., Co.”H”, then transfered to the 8th Tenn. Calvary, Co. “G”, Capt. Gores Company. His first battle was Mill Springs, Kentucky. Also known as Fishing Creek, Ky. battle. Enlisted at Livingston, Tn. Camp Zollicoffer, in 1861. He went from the battle at Mill’s Spring to Alabama, and was transferred to the 8th Tenn. Calvary. He was one of Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest scouts. He was captured at Parkers Cross Roads, and imprisoned at Camp Douglas, Chicago. On his Pension application he listed Andrew P. Lynn, John Lynn, James D. Lynn and William Lynn, his brother-in-law, as serving in the same company with him. He also Listed his Brothers who served with him. J.M. (James Mack) Johnson, Acy (ASA) Johnson, William Johnson.
- *(34) “Co. F” Thomas Clark Alcorn Enlisted for 12 months on the 23 Apr 1861. Mustered in at Camp Myers, 1 Oct 1861. Enrolled for Duty 23rd Sep 1861 by Lt. Hardcastle. He fought in two engagements (Wildcat Mountain, October 1861 and Mill Springs, January 1862) before he died at his home in Putnam County, Tennessee, of typhoid fever, on or about the 24th of March, 1862.
- *(34) “Co. F” James Harrison Alcorn Enlisted 31 July 1861, Livingston, TN. by Lt. Hardcastle for 12 months. Listed as present on company muster rolls until July/August 1863. Then listed as Deserted on August 19th 1863, Loudon, TN.
- *(35) “Co. H” Pleasant Calvin Houston Gunter, Julie Flanagans great grandpa, mustered in 8-5-1861 at Camp Myers, Livingston, Overton Co., TN. He fell ill right after the Fishing Creek battle and was unable to return to battle. He received his pension, filed for on 8-14-1899, on 5-14-1909. The pension is #2093.
- *(38) “Co. F” Three of my ancestors to Company F of the 25th Tn. Infantry Regiment 1) Rufus Bruce, who later joined Sept 25, 1864 & discharged July 22,1865 into the 1st TN Mounted Infantry (Union) & Henry Polk Davis enlisted July 31, 1861, that he was in Co. as of Oct 31, 1861 & on subsequent rolls he is shown as being discharged by reason of being a non-conscript, he being discharged at Tupelo, Mississippi 1862 with his cousin George Washington Judd, as both were underage, & then these two joined Co “C” 8th TN cavalry Dibrells Regiment & both were paroled May 09, 1865 at Washington, GA per his widows pension claim which was accepted.

Captain James Curtis, in the text, is listed as being in Company G and Company I. He is given in the tables at the end of the chapters as being in Company I.
