1836 Fentress County Civil Districts Map
In 1834, the Tennessee Legislature mandated that each county set out districts for administration, voting, and taxation. Those districts were to be effective in 1836. Every county created a map, but many maps were lost. Fortunately, the map for Fentress County survived.
Existing original maps are fragile and are housed in the Tennessee State Library & Archives.
