{"id":719,"date":"2012-08-25T01:15:40","date_gmt":"2012-08-25T05:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/obion2\/?page_id=719"},"modified":"2021-09-21T22:02:31","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T03:02:31","slug":"jackson-family-cemetery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/obion\/jackson-family-cemetery\/","title":{"rendered":"Jackson Family Cemetery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Description only, no tombstone were recorded)<\/p>\n<p>Located by Marion Laster &lt;mlaster (at) edge.net&gt;<\/p>\n<p>Central Community, Civil District No 7, on old Mattox-Olive farm, straddles the Rives-Mt Pelia Road (State Route 216).<\/p>\n<p>The Mattox-Olive farm is located 2.5 miles W of Mt Pelia toward Rives.<\/p>\n<p>Mt Pelia is on the Obion-Weakly County border.<\/p>\n<p>The farm&#8217;s eastern boundary is at the intersection of Pruitt Road.<\/p>\n<p>The cemetery is on the south side of SR 216 near the Pruitt Road intersection in the middle of the field about 300-400 yards from the road, clearly visible from road and marked by several old cedar trees.<\/p>\n<p>The site has at least two graves and maybe several more.<\/p>\n<p>It occupies less than 1\/4 acre.<\/p>\n<p>(&#8230; one clearly visible headstone in all the underbrush that definitely had the name Jackson written on it, and if memory serves me correctly, John Jackson.
