{"id":2163,"date":"2015-03-28T22:40:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-29T03:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/obion\/?p=2163"},"modified":"2021-11-29T19:09:33","modified_gmt":"2021-11-30T01:09:33","slug":"lannie-turnage-maxwell-1974","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/obion\/lannie-turnage-maxwell-1974\/","title":{"rendered":"MAXWELL, Lannie Turnage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Maxwell Rites Slated at Troy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. Lannie Turnage MAXWELL<\/strong>, 82-year-old resident of Troy, died Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at her home.\u00a0 She had been in failing health for a number of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 at the Troy United Methodist Church with the <strong>Rev. Charles TOWNSLEY<\/strong> officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery.\u00a0 White-Mahoon Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Pallbearers will be <strong>Edwin McADOO, Brown SANDERS, John E. HUEY, Cecil MOSS, Lester HAILEY and Clarence SMITH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. MAXWELL<\/strong> was born Sept. 4, 1891, in Boyle, Miss., daughter of the late <strong>Ed F. and Mrs. Sally Wiles TURNAGE<\/strong>.\u00a0 She was married to <strong>Basil Wright MAXWELL<\/strong> in 1911.\u00a0 He died in November 1973.<\/p>\n<p>She was a charter member of the Troy United Methodist Church and a member of the Ruth Class.\u00a0 She also was a member of the Troy Book Club and for a number of years served as secretary of the Obion County Democratic Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mrs. MAXWELL<\/strong> leaves a son, <strong>John B.
