White bought one-half interest in McCaw Furniture<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1926: R. W. Mahon bought interest of J. W. McCaw after his death and the business became McCaw-White Furniture and Undertaking Business.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1926: The Obion County Burial Association and Mutual Burial Association serving White-Ranson, White-Mahon and King Funeral Homes organized at Troy. Offices: at White-Mahon. By 1939, over 10,000 members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Eventually, the furniture business ended and the funeral home in Troy was run by R. W. Mahon, John Moffatt and Gus B. White, Jr.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1949: Death of R.W. Mahon in 1949 and Gus B. White, Jr. purchased the business<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1977: Mr. White died, son Gus B. White III bought the business from his estate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">King Funeral Home: 3 Feb. 1999, Dorothy Grisham located the KING Funeral Home records. When White Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, Obion Co., TN bought Kings, they also accrued the records (what few there are). She was told by an employee there that a lot of the records were lost by fire.
