\nMrs. Edna Goodman passed away on May 9, 2014. She was blessed to be 100 years old. [She was born Sept 9, 1913] \u00a0Edna was born on September 9, 1913, to Lewis and Mahalia (Stringfield) Hamby. She was married to Lonnie Goodman on June 28, 1930. During their 58 year marriage, they had nine children, 15 grandchildren, and a host of great-and great-great grandchildren.
\n“Granny” was an expert cook of Southern Cuisine and an accomplished quilter. She was a long-time member of Pilot Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Her greatest joys in life were her worship with God, and fellowship with her family.
\nShe is survived by daughter Maxine Barnes of Lancing;\u00a0Charlotte Fritts of Ten Mile;\u00a0Sandra Aslinger of Wartburg.
\nThe family will receive friends Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 4-6 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg. Funeral Services will follow at 6 pm with Bro. Charles Webb and Bro. Billy Goodman officiating, interment will follow in the Lane Cemetery, Lancing. [Schubert Funeral Home]<\/p>\n
