Happy birthday to tngenweb!! This time 18 years ago, a group of marvelous pioneers from all over the globe (yep, even in Switzerland!) banded together with a common goal: to bring you, our visitors, the single best resource for Tennessee history and genealogy on the then-new World-Wide Web.
We invested an entire Summer in learning Web technology (Jurassic by today’s standards) and learning how to collaborate without leaving the comfort of our homes.Some folks remember sitting at their computer for 18 straight hours some days.
And look where we are today: still the best overall FREE on-line resource for Tennessee researchers.
Thank you to all who have visited our project pages, contributed information, volunteered to get data on-line, and generally supported us through your various contributions (cash is tax-deductible and much appreciated).
