SEXTON, MR. BART JR., age 100 of Wartburg, passed away on Saturday, March 13th, 2004. He was a life long resident of Morgan County and owner of Bart’s Trading Post in Lancing, TN for more than thirty years. On August 4, 2003, his 100th birthday celebration was held at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart and Mary Sexton; son, J.B. Sexton; and infant daughter, Debra Kay Sexton. Two brothers and three sisters: Sam and Louis Sexton, Josephine Love, Ida Byrd, and Lenora Armstrong. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Edna Mae Sexton; Sons: Billy Joe, Ralph Eugene, Thomas Wayne, Tinsley Barton Sexton, all of Wartburg, and John Paul Sexton of Hitchcock Texas. Daughters: Mary Sue Whetstone of Chattanooga and Betty Lou Francisco of San Diego, CA; Sisters: Rachel Clark and Gertrude Cox, both of Knoxville, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 16th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. officiating.
