Ross, William Benjamin & Julia Etta Langley Ross

William (Bill) Benjamin Ross and Julia Etta Langley Ross

~ ~ ~

Photo taken in Morgan County probably on their wedding day in August, 1900.  Two sons were born to them:  William (Bill) Ross, b. 1905, and Ronald Ray Ross, b. 1908, both born in Coalfield and raised in Morgan County.   There is very little known about William Benjamin Ross, he died before 1910, probably in a coal mine accident.  Other family members (possibly 13 siblings), date and place of birth, death and burial are unknown.   Julia Etta Langley Ross never remarried, and eventually moved to Ohio with her son, Ronald “Ray”Ross, where she lived until her death in 1968.  She left behind a trail of wonderful memories from all the lives she touched.  She is burried in New Haven Cemetery, New Haven, Ohio, with her youngest son“Ray” Ross who died in 1990.  Her oldest son, “Bill” died in 1931 in Clairfield, TN.
