My interest is the story of an emigrant from Saxonia in Germany. His name is Adolph Ferdinand Wieland and he came to Wartburg in October 1848 and stayed until 1855. I have published on my private web page his biography and a description of his arrival (unfortunately only in german). Now I have a question, is there an online access to the purchase contracts of that time? He had a farm near Melhorn Settlement between Mill Creek and Crab Orchard Creek.
