John H. Jones.
He was born December 01, 1871, in Stearns, KY,
and died November 11, 1941, in Roanoke, TX.
He lived in Burrville from abt. 1882 until abt. 1905 when part of this family moved west to Oklahoma, then Texas.
He and his wife Mary, have a son,
Madison L. Jones, buried in
Lavender – Osage Cemetery, Deer Lodge.

GEORGE C. JONES and his wife SALLY taken in McAlester, Oklahoma. She is believed to be related to former TN Governor Ben W. Hooper (1911-15).
George was born April 03, 1884, in Burrville, TN, and died March 02, 1959, in Weslaco, TX.
This photo was
probably taken sometime around 1910.

collection of photos It’s very possible that these photos are some of our Jones relatives that were living in Burrville in the late 1800’s. My relation to both men: They are my grandma’s, (Doris Phillips Ooten), uncles.
