Nancy Honeycutt, 107, Oakdale
Nancy Eva Honeycutt, 107, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 2, 1991 in her home in Oakdale. She was a member of the First Baptist Chruch of Oakdale, and the wife of the late Wiley A. Honeycutt and was also preceded in death by two sons, Ted and Kenneth and a daughter, Mable. Surviving are four daughters, Geneva Douglas of Ind., Reba Trout of Oakdale, Clara Stonecipher of Cleveland and Dolly Schubert of Chattanooga; two sons, Clay Honeycutt of Hixon and Marvin Honeycutt of Oakdale; 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, great,great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family received friends in Schubert Funeral Home Chapel in Wartburg, followed by funeral with Rev. Chalres Kelly and Rev. Sam Butler officiating. Graveside service and burial were at Piney Church Cemetery with Schuberts of Wartburg in charge of arrangements. Nancy Eva Honeycutt Wilson was the daughter of Worth & Lyda Jones Wilson and the wife of Wiley A. Honeycutt. Her 100th birthday party was held at the Oakdale High School with about 200 or more friends and family attending. [Knoxville News Sentinel]
