DEATH TAKES C.R. CLARK AT OAKDALE 
Charlie R. Clark, 73, of Route 1, Oakdale died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday at his home. [b: 3-30-1884 -d: 3-23-1958] Mr. Clark, who was a member and deacon of Rankin’s Chapel Baptist, suffered a stroke on March 14, 1958. Survivors include Mr. Clark’s wife; four sons, Arnold Clark and Carl Clark of Oakdale, Walter Clark of Harriman and Albert Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs Myrtle Copeland, Mrs Mabel Blake and Mrs. Lela Watson of Oakdale, Mrs Eva Solomon of Kingston.  He also is survived by one brother, Oliver Clark of Harriman; three sisters, Mrs. Allie Ballard, Mrs. Carrie Harmon and Mrs. Mae Turpin, all of Harriman; and 13 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. (EST) Tuesday afternoon at Rankin’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Painter and The Rev. John Goldston officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

MAE COFFEY CLARK 
Mrs. Mae Clark, 80, died March 3, 1975 at the Harriman Hospital after an extended illness.  Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late William and Nancy Coffey.  She was born June 22, 1894 and was married to the late Charlie R. Clark.  She was a charter member of the Rankins Chapel Church where she was faithful in attendance.  She served as secretary for many years.  She also served as president of the Rankins Elementary School PTA when there was a school in the community. She took an active part in the community activities.  Mrs. Clark practiced midwife services for many years.  The weather never got too bad for her to walk miles to render services in case of illness.  Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Copeland, Mrs Mable Blake and Mrs. Lela Watson, all of Oakdale, Mrs. Eva Solomon, Rossville, Ga.;  sons, Arnold Clark and Carl Clark, both of Oakdale, Albert Clark of Harriman and Walter Clark of Rockwood;  brother, Lawrence Coffey, Oakdale;   14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were held March 5 from the Rankins Chapel Church with Rev. Bill Johnson and Rev. Fred Copeland officiating.  Burial was in Rankins Chapel Cemetery in Morgan County.  Kyker Funeral Home, Harriman, was in charge of the arrangements.
