ADKINS, LINDSAY C., age 100, of Lancing died June 20, 1989 on his One Hundreth Birthday. He was a Veteran of WW I and was preceded in death by his wife Etta Hll Adkins in 1979.Survivors are: sons, Dr. Thomas E. Adkins, Rossville, GA., Eugene Adkins, Wartburg; and Billy Adkins of Greenville.; four daughters, Mrs. Eula Waddell and Mrs. Christine Edwards of Lancing. Mrs. Avilene (Stanley) Peterman of Harriman; and Mrs. Betty (Richard) Arnold of Atlanta. thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Adkins professed a hope in Christ at an early age. Funeral services were conducted from Schubert Funeral Home Chapel in Wartburg with Elder John E. Robbins officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge. [Morgan County News]
