George Rudolph
This indenture made this seventeenth day of December in the
year of our lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & thirty-nine between William
Edmonston of the State of Tennessee and Montgomery County of the one part and
George Rudolph of the sate and county aforesaid of the other part. Witnessth that for and in consideration
of the sum of four hundred Dollars to him in hand received the payment is
hereby acknowledged by the said William Edmonston himself hearwith fully
satisfied and paid hath given granted and sold allowed unssof (?) conveyed and
confirmed and do by these presents give grant bargain and sell convey and
confirm unto the said George Rudolph his heirs and assigns forever a certain
tract or parcel of land on the waters of Parsons Creek Beginning at a dogwood
at John Edmondsons south west corner on McPhearsons line near a cave
spring. Thence east one hundred
and sixty seven poles to James Fowlers corner thence north one hundred and six
poles to James Fowlers other corner with his line thence West One hundred and
sixty seven poles to a stake in Edmondsons old line thence West thence south
one hundred and six poles to the beginning. Containing one hundred acres the being more or less together
with woods, water ways (?), mines
minerals unto the said George Rudolph his heirs and assigns for their only use
and benefit forever and the said William Edmondson for himself his heirs, his
executors & Administrators doth hereby covenant to and with the said George
Rudolph to warrant and forever defend the right title and claim of all and
every other person lawfully claiming the same.
