Know all men by these presents that weYANCY THORNTON, SAMUEL THORNTON and GAUSE BRINSON all of the State of Tennessee and the County of Montgomery are held and firmly Bound unto the Govenor of the State aforesaid and his Successors in office the sume of one Thousand Dollars to be paid to the Govenor and his Successors in  or their assigns which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our Heirs Executors and administrators etc. jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this 24 day of January 1803.
   The condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound YANCY THORNTON administrator of all and singular the goods and chattles rights and credits of OWEN THORNTON, deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Goods and Chattles rights credits of the Deceased which have or shall come into the hands knowingly or possession of the said YANCY THORNTON or into the hands or possession of any person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into our ensueing County Court and the same Goods & Chattles and Credits and all other the goods Chattles and Credits of the Deceased, at the time of his Death which at anytime hereafter comes into the hands and possession of any other person or persons for him do well and truly administer according to laws further do make or cause to be made  a true and just account of all the said adminstration within one year after the Date of these presents, and all the rest & residue of the said goods Chattles & Credits which shall be found remaining on the said administration, account the same being first examined and allowed agreeable to law shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the sum shall be due, pursuant to the true intent and meaning of the administration and if it shall appear that any will and Testatment was made by the deceased and the Executor & Executrix therein named do exhibit the same into Court making request to have it allowed and approved of accordingly, if the said YANCY THORNTON thereunto be required to render & deliver the said letters of administration approbation of such Testament being frist had and made in our said Court then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force in Law.
