Steppee Cemetery

Directions to STEPPEE CEMETERY- The Cemetery is situated on Private Montgomery County Property near the Dickson County line. Permission to attend must be gained from the owner. From Tennessee Highway 13, turn on to Spring Valley Road. Turn right on Old Highway 13. Turn right on Hamm Road. About fifty yards on right is a poor wagon trail into a large stock pasture. Cross the field to an almost hidden entrance that leads through a wooded area and gated fence to another large stock pasture.  Bear left across the field to the fenced cemetery. Mint Spring, the location of Elizabeth Ann Cline Steppee’s original log cabin, is located down a steep wooded hill, cross a stream and barbwire fence to the bluff from which the spring flows.

Buried in the Steppee Cemetery are:
Elizabeth Ann Cline Steppee, b. May 29, 1848, d. Jan. 30, 1904

Willey Frank Steppee, b. Aug.27, 1872, d. Apr.2, 1957. [Also, the leg of Will Steppee was medically amputated sometime prior to his death]

Maggie Frances Steppee, b. July 15, 1889, d. Feb. 19, 1943 (marked only by a stone)
