In the Name of God Amen. The fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fourteen, I Samuel Taylor of Montgomery County being at this time of sound and perfect mind & memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body knowing it is appointed for all men once to die, do make & ordain this instrument to contain this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following.

That is to say, principally first of all, I give & recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it me, & my body to the earth to be Buried in a Christian like & deasent manner, to the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named, and as touching such worldly estate as it hath been pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in manner following, to wit:

Imprimise (?), I lend unto my beloved wife Sally all my property until all my children come of age, if she, that is my wife, does not marry and if she does marry then for all the property to be sold & equally divided between all my children & Mother.

And lastly, I constitute nominate & appoint my Father, Daniel Taylor Executor & my loving wife Executrix of this my last Will & Testament, disanulling and revoking & making void all other Wills & Testaments by me made.  Ratifying and confirming this & no other to be my last Will & Testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto let my hand & affixed my seal the day & year first as within (?) writen.  Signed, Sealed and delivered in presence of us:
